Why this is different

Everyone sells you a shipping container. Nobody helps you decide.

Search "move to Thailand" and you get movers quoting you on boxes. The hard part was never the boxes — it's the visa, the neighborhood, and the budget.

Moving companies

  • Quote you to ship furniture you'll probably sell anyway
  • Don't know which visa fits your situation
  • Never lived here — can't tell Thonglor from Phrom Phong
  • Hand you off to a call center

A planning call with a local

  • One honest conversation about your actual move
  • The right visa path for you — DTV, retirement, or other
  • Neighborhoods that fit your budget and life, from someone who lives here
  • Real numbers, no fantasy "you can live on $500" blog math
Sound familiar?

The move is doable. The planning is the mess.

You've read forty Reddit threads, three blogs from 2019, and a YouTube video that contradicts all of them. DTV vs. retirement vs. nomad visa? Which area without overpaying? What does a month actually cost? Everyone has an opinion — none of it is your plan.

What you get

The Thailand Move Planning Session

  • The right visa path for your situation. DTV, retirement, or another route — and what it actually requires.
  • 2–3 neighborhoods that fit you. Where to live for your budget and lifestyle, and what fair rent looks like.
  • Your real monthly cost. Rent, health cover, food, transport, setup — honest numbers, not a brochure.
  • A simple timeline. What to do in the next 30 / 60 / 90 days.
  • A written summary. Sent after the call, so you're not scrambling to take notes.

Who you'll talk to
"I first came as a tourist in 2022, got tired of the visa-run treadmill, and moved from Houston for good in 2025. This call is so you skip the part where I figured it all out the hard way."

Imtiaz Moved from Houston, TX to Bangkok in 2025 on a DTV visa, after a few years of visa runs. American, lives here, does these calls personally.

Honest numbers

No fantasy budgets. The real cost of your move.

A comfortable Bangkok life costs a lot less than the US — but the "$700 a month" videos are selling you a fantasy. On the call you'll get numbers built around your life: the neighborhood you'd actually want, real health cover, and the one-time setup costs nobody warns you about.

Questions

Before you book.

Is the deposit really refundable?

Yes. Book the call, and if it isn't useful, tell us and we refund it. The point is to make this easy to say yes to.

Do I have to be ready to move now?

No. Most people book two to nine months out. The earlier you plan, the cheaper and smoother the move tends to be.

Is this just a sales call in disguise?

No. It's a working planning session. If you want help afterward, we'll tell you what that costs — but there's zero pressure, and the deposit is yours back if it wasn't worth it.

I'm moving from the UK / Canada / Australia — does this still work?

The visa specifics differ, but the session works the same. Just mention where you're coming from when you book.

Are you a visa agent or a law firm?

No. This is independent planning from someone who lives here. For anything that needs a licensed agent or lawyer, we'll point you to the right people — we just help you understand the whole picture first.
